What happened to all the snow?

I love snow - there I said it.

I was so looking forward to a white christmas/vacation but our 60 degree day on Saturday melted away all of the winter goodness. So for the rest of vacation I'll be looking at brown grass on the ground.

The fam and I had a great christmas, very low key and quiet. The twins were thrilled when they received a George Forman and toaster oven from "Santa" aka Mom and Dad. They looked at me last year and laughed when I got excited about cooking utensils and such, but in their ripe old age of 19 realized that it is exciting to receive such practical gifts. They come in handy!

This week is nuts - back and forth to Toledo. Poor Bryan - he has traveled everyday since we have been home (we got home last Tuesday night...)

Hopefully I'll have some christmas day pics to post soon.

The First Step is a Big One...

Well, hi!

It was about time I started a blog so here I am blogosphere! My name is Ashley and I just moved to Chicago, which is one of the most wonderful places I've ever been. I lived in Michigan for 22 years and my family has a cherry farm which is where the blog name came from. We don't live on it - I'm from southeastern MI, but we LOVE the farm! It is my most favorite place in the world.

I moved to Chicago for my job in the communications field. A lot of my friends are here which is fabulous. It's been a great six months so far and I've already met so many new people.

I was inspired to create this blog because of all of the great things I have done with blogs at work. I see how many people you can reach and the friendships that can be made just by writing and I think that is so cool. My new years resolution (one of them) this year is to post at least once a week on this blog.

I know this is the most BORING post so I will stop and let the rest unfold from here. :)
